Sure, Cal Ripken is having a banner year and a most productive career, but he has not dislodged No. 5, Brooks Robinson, from his exalted spot as the greatest Oriole of all-time, according to respondents to "It's Your Call," The Evening Sun's phone survey on topical issues.
The Hall of Fame third baseman was selected by 249 of the 646 callers (38.5 percent), with Ripken finishing second (25 percent). They were followed by Eddie Murray (15.5 percent), Frank Robinson (13) and Jim Palmer (8).
