The Anne Arundel Trade Council has announced support for the construction of light rail to the Baltimore-Washington International Airportarea.
The trade council, after reviewing the choices for the spurto the airport area, supports the "Y" or "T" alternative, a combination of alternatives 3, 4 and 5 that would follow the direct connection north or south alignment to the intersection of Elm Road and Route 170 and then split north to a terminus at International Drive in the Airport Square area and south to the BWI Airport.
15 CONDOMINIUMS SOLD
Fifteen luxury condominiums at South River Condominiums were soldat auction by Sheldon, Good & Company recently for a total of $2.13 million.
The auction drew more than 220 bidders, and prices rangedfrom $140,000 for a unit listed at $273,328, to $205,000 for a unit regularly priced at $336,776.
The condominium complex is now 40 percent occupied and is currently changing its retail prices in light of the auction.
AD SPACE ON CYCLE MAP
TheAnnapolis Jaycees are selling advertising space on a map to be distributed to all Cycle Across America participants during Cycle Across America Tour III as they enter Annapolis.
The theme of this year's event, which will be in Annapolis July 29, is "Wrapping the Chesapeake." After settling down to camp at St. John's College, cyclists will strike out to explore Annapolis with maps in hand.

TWO HANDLE LEASES
Kent Carter and Gene Brennan of Manis & Wright Realty recently representedseveral clients in lease and sub-lease agreements.
Carter represented Marketing Service Associates, a sales and marketing firm which handles diversified product lines including food and hardware, in its lease of 1,850 square feet of space at the Yacht Haven in Annapolis. He was also the representative for the National Institute for the Christian Family, an organization which provides training and seminars for clergy and lay leaders, in their lease of space at the Courtyards in Annapolis. Carter also represented the landlord, Mazza and Associates in the transaction.
IDT Marine, a Silicon Valley-based firm, employed Gene Brennan to handle their lease of 1,350 square feet at the Horn Point Office Building in Annapolis. Brennan also represented the landlord in the Department of Fiscal Services of the Maryland General Assembly's sub-lease of 1,750 square feet of office space at 77 West Street in Annapolis.
