Kudos

Myrna Wohl won a recruiting award from World Book Educational Products, a publisher of encyclopedias and other reference materials. Ms. Wohl is a division manager for the company in North Potomac.

Goucher College won a first place award for the 1990 Goucher College Annual Report and two other awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Marriott Corp. in Bethesda won a Corporate Pioneer Award from the Brooklyn Center for the Independence of the Disabled for providing opportunities for disabled people.

Hodgins Design Inc., a Baltimore-based design agency, won two awards from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington for a direct-mail package created for The Women's Direct Response Group of Washington.

Baltimore County Career Development Center in Essex, a program run jointly by Essex and Dundalk Community Colleges, was named Best Economic Development Activity in the country by the National Council of Instructional Administrators.

Trade organizations

National Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers, an Alexandria, Va.-based association of home medical equipment suppliers, elected Donald M. Kirson chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Kirson is president

and chief executive officer of Kirson Medical Equipment Co. in Baltimore.

GreenLeaf Associates, a consulting group specializing in management team work, was formed by Jody R. Johns and Peter F. Norlin. The company has offices in Baltimore and Timonium.
