Who's minding the kids?

July 21, 1991

Parents who spend all day making sure their children are having a good time in Ocean City may need some time for themselves at the end of the day.

The resort has several child-care options for parents who need a break.

Now in her third year of operation, Dial-a-Nanny's Fran Murray has 86 sitters who will come to your rental unit and watch your children. The fee is $7 per hour, and the service operates year-round, placing live-in and full-time nannies as well as summer baby sitters. Call 641-5594.

Summer Sitter also sends kid-sitting help to your hotel or condo. Their staff of 75 includes mothers, grandmothers and one very popular granddad. There's a $10 service fee, and the charge is $6 an hour with a three-hour minimum. Summer Sitter accepts Visa and MasterCard.

Both Dial-a-Nanny and Summer Sitter are licensed, insured and bonded.

For sitting service inside or outside your rental unit, try the Rainbow Learning Center, a licensed day care center that now offers evening sessions for parents visiting Ocean City.

Open Mondays to Saturdays, Rainbow is at 109 76th St. The charge is $15 for the 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. session, and $5 an hour after that, up to midnight. Call Mary Zentgraf at 723-4730 for more information.
