The Epilepsy Association of Maryland Inc. honored Barbara J. Cysyk of Johns Hopkins Hospital and Michael T. Bornemann of East Baltimore Resources with the EAM's 1991 Outstanding Public Education Volunteer award for their efforts in educating the public about epilepsy.
At a recent Ladies Auxiliary VFW convention in Ocean City, Sandi Gosnell was voted guard, Bertha Fisher was named safety chairman and Betty Fisk was named chief of staff. All are members of Yingling Ridgley Auxiliary 7472 in Ellicott City. Margaret Faya, president of Doyle Dickey Auxiliary 163 VFW in Catonsville, was named auxiliary president of the year.
Loyola College has appointed David Cooper of Baltimore as director of its capital campaign. In other Loyola news, the college's Alumni Association has elected Ronald C. Diegelman of Ellicott City as its new president and Timothy B. Bailey as senior vice president for 1991-'92.
John Chesser of Baltimore has been awarded a provost's scholarship to Towson State University for the 1991-'92 academic year. He is a junior majoring in business management.
