Western's Johnson on U.S. junior team

LOS ANGELES -- Dana Johnson of Baltimore earned dual honors at the U.S. Olympic Festival yesterday.

The 18-year-old graduate of Western High School was named to the 1991 USA Basketball junior national women's team. She was also selected to the all-Festival team after averaging 7.5 points .. and 4.5 rebounds in four games for the East.

Also named to the junior team were University of Maryland players Katrina Colleton, a junior forward, and Jessie Hicks, a junior center. Hicks, an all-Festival performer, averaged 10.3 points.

The junior team will depart for Mexico on July 23 for a three-game round-robin series with Mexico's Pan American Games team, a Canadian developmental team, and Guatemala's junior national team.
