Census count

It's your call

July 18, 1991

Callers to SUNDIAL are almost evenly split over whether the national census figures should be adjusted.

Out of 216 callers, 109 said the census should not be adjusted and 107 said it should. That works out to 50.46 percent against adjustment, 49.54 percent in favor.

More than 90 percent of the callers, 196 out of 217, said they had been counted in the census, but 21 callers, 9.7 percent, said they were not counted.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
