Two Gunmen Sought After Wendy's Holdup

County police were looking yesterday for two gunmen who robbed a Crofton restaurant early Monday morning.

Police said two men walked into the Wendy's in the 1000 block of Route 3 at about 1 a.m., orderedthe employees to lie down on the floor and told the store manager toopen the safe. They were last seen running north on Route 3.

Police described the first gunman as black, 25 years old, 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and wearing a white shirt with dark pants. The second robber was described as black, 20 years old, 5-foot-9 and wearing a white shirt with dark shorts.

POLICE ARREST 2 WOMEN ON SOLICITATION CHARGES

Two women at opposite ends of the county were arrested on prostitution charges Monday.

County police charged a 31-year-old woman with prostitution after officers said she solicited them in Brooklyn Park.

Police said undercover officers picked up Gloria Jean Schroll, no fixed address, along Ritchie Highway at about 1:45 a.m.

The officers said she lied to police about her identity and was chargedwith making a false statement to police.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old Laurel woman was charged with prostitution after policesaid she solicited an officer in Laurel.

At about 10 p.m., policesaid, an undercover detective saw a woman standing on the corner of Whiskey Bottom Road and Old Camp Meade Road. The detective picked thewoman up and drove to a parking lot in the 8200 block of Brock Bridge Road.

When she offered to have sex with him, he arrested her. Debra Ann Chase, no fixed address, was taken to the Western District station to be charged.

7200 block of Standard Drive: July 10, entry gained through the door. Money taken. Loss: $1,287.

Laurel:
