Striking workers

It's your call

July 16, 1991

Opinion was almost evenly divided over a bill in Congress that would make it illegal for employers to permanently replace striking workers and is expected to be voted on tomorrow in the House of Representatives.

Of 571 Evening Sun readers and other callers to SUNDIAL, 50 percent, or 287, are in favor of the bill, and 49 percent, or 284, oppose it.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
