July 15, 1991

An Annapolis man drowned early yesterday morning in Martins Cove after falling out of a boat just a few feet from shore, county police said.

Daniel M. Adams, 42, of Forest Beach Road apparently was trying to dock the boat at 1:17 a.m. when he fell into the water. Ninety minutes later, county firefighters found his body in 8 feet of water near the shore off Forest Beach Road.

Adams' sister, Elizabeth Hunt of Annapolis, said she believed herbrother was on the boat with several other people when the accident occurred.

She did not know any other details of the accident.

Adams, a custodian at Chesapeake Harbour restaurant, was the father ofthree children, Hunt said.
