Baltimore City

THEFT: Northern District -- Richard Arnold, of the 3500 block of Beech Ave., reported that someone stole a bicycle valued at nearly $200 from his property over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- Michael Volatile, of the 1300 block of W. 40th St., reported that someone broke into his car that was parked near his home over the weekend and stole more than $100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that Lawrence Howard, of the 500 block of E. 38th St., was home around 1 p.m. yesterday when someone broke into his house and assaulted him. Police said the man robbed Howard of cash and property, all valued at several hundred dollars.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Roland Ave. reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend through an unlocked rear door and stole a bicycle was valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered a dwelling in the 800 block of Argonne Drive and stole a toaster, an iron and $200.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that a pool cue, watch, shower shoes, an antique camera and a clock radio were stolen from a dwelling in the 3100 block of N. Charles St. after someone cut a screen and opened a window. Police said the property was valued at more than $600.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 400 block of Arundel Beach Road in Anne Arundel County reported that someone broke into a dwelling she owns in the 300 block of E. 25th St. and stole a cassette player, camera, tools, a lounge chair and a tape recorder. Police said the property was valued at nearly $270 and that entry was gained through an unlocked window.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Martina Staggers, of the 1600 block of Moreland Ave., told police she was in the 1800 block of N. Smallwood St. early yesterday when she was stopped by two men who demanded her money and property. Police said Staggers complied, giving the men cash and property, all valued at more than $600.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Sherrie Moore, of the 200 block of N. Mount St., reported that in the 1200 block of W. Lexington St. Saturday night she was assaulted by a man who pressed a knife to her neck. Police said Moore resisted and was cut on the right arm. Police said the man fled. Moore was treated at Bon Secours Hospital and released.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police reported that Ernest Jones, of the first block N. Gilmor St., was at home Saturday night when he was attacked by a man who struck him over the head with a bottle. Police said the man escaped and Jones was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center where he was treated for a laceration and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Michael Randolph, of the 1300 block of Mountmor Court, was near his home Saturday night when he was accosted from the rear by a man who struck him over the head with a handgun and robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.

STABBING: Western District -- Police reported that Tommy Knuckles, of the 2600 block of Edmondson Ave., was in the 2100 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Saturday night when he was attacked by two men, one with a knife. Police said Knuckles was stabbed in the chest and was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition today. Police said they had no motive for the attack.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Nathaniel Foster, of the 1500 block of W. Fayette St., told police he was in the 100 block of N. Stricker St. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest. Police said the man fled and that Foster was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was treated and held overnight for observation.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man in the robbery early yesterday of John Harris, of the 2300 block of W. Lexington St., as he walked in the 900 block of W. Baltimore St. Police said Harris was alone around 3 a.m. when he was stopped by a man with a knife who demanded his money. Police said the man fled with more than $100. Harris was not injured.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police today were seeking a woman who attacked Kyafa James, of the 800 block of Edmondson Ave., and cut him on the face with a knife Saturday night at her home in the 2800 block of Clifton Ave. Police said the injury was slight and James refused medical treatment by the crew of a city fire department ambulance.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Janice Alston, of the 300 block of N. Gilmor St., reported she was in the 1400 block of N. Carey St. around 7 p.m. yesterday when she was stopped by a man known to her as "Butch." Alston told police the man assaulted her and stole more than $5 out of her pockets. Police said Alston was expected to seek a warrant for the man's arrest.
