Channel 2 Television News in Baltimore was named Outstanding News Operation by the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association and Channel 2 News' George Stover was named best news photographer. The news division also won four awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the station won an award for children's programming from the Washington Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
