James Reter has been recognized by the Carroll Board of Education for receiving the Registered School Business Administrator Certificate for the Maryland/District of Columbia Association of School Business Officials.
Reter, director of business and finance for the county schools, received one of seven certificates issued in Maryland.
ASBO, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to promoting the efficient management of school business affairs.
Applicants must be active members of the MD/DC ASBO for at least three years, have served as a school administrator for at least five years with at least three in a Maryland jurisdiction, have a minimum of a master's degree and be certified as an administrator in the state of Maryland.
Otherfaculty members honored by the board were:
* James Gillespie, plant operations supervisor, for completing his term as School Facilities Section Director of the Maryland/District of Columbia Association of School Business Officials July 1.
