Four metro area players are on the 26-man Team USA under-19 lacrosse squad, scheduled to represent the nation in next summer's World Lacrosse Tournament.

Ryan Wade and Tony Nugent, Players of the Year on The Evening Sun All-Metro lacrosse teams the past two seasons, made the Team USA squad as did Howard High's Joe Wilson and Loyola High's David Evans.

Wade was a graduate of Severn in 1989 and played last season for the University of North Carolina. Nugent finished his high school career at Calvert Hall in May and will attend the University of Virginia in September.

Wilson also is bound for Virginia and Evans will attend Bridgeton Academy Prep School.

Loyola coach Joe McFadden will serve as an assistant to coach Bob Hartranft of Farmingdale (N.Y.) for Team USA.
