Services for Kevin N. Francis, a supervisor for a seafood company in Crisfield and a former coach in the Baltimore recreation department's sports programs, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Gillis Memorial Community Church, 4016 Park Heights Ave.

Mr. Francis, who was 36 and lived in Crisfield, died Sunday after a heart attack at the home of a friend.

He had worked for the John T. Handy Co. in Crisfield for about seven years.

For five years before that, he was a recreation worker who coached basketball and youth baseball teams.

The Baltimore native was a graduate of Northwestern High School and attended the Community College of Baltimore.

He played on his high school football and basketball teams and played basketball in college.

In 1973, The Evening Sun named him Prep Athlete of the Week after he gained 202 yards in 15 carries during a 33-22 victory over the Loyola High School football team.

Surviving are his son, Kevin A. Francis, and his brother, Christopher Brittingham, both of Baltimore.
