Rosalind A. Jewett

Rosalind A. Jewett, 77, a volunteer reader to the blind and a former secretary at the Gilman School, died yesterday at Union Memorial Hospital after a heart attack.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N. Charles St.

The former Rosalind Huidekoper was a native of Romney, W. Va. She came to Baltimore as a child with her family and was a 1932 graduate of the Greenwood School.

She had worked at Gilman in the 1930s and was active in community theater as a young woman.

She was a resident of Roland Park Place.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosalind J. Slay of McLean, Va.; a sister, Page H. Wilson of Washington; and two granddaughters.

The family suggested that memorial contributions could be made to the United States Committee for UNICEF.
