Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- James Hill, of the first block of Mountbatten Court in the West Glen Apartments in Woodlawn, reported he was in the 3300 block of Garrison Blvd. late Sunday night when he was stopped by a man who struck him over the head with a handgun. After assaulting Hill, the gunman robbed him of cash and property, all valued at nearly $300.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Officials of Christian Unity Temple in the 3900 block of Groveland Ave. reported that someone broke into their building through a basement window yesterday morning but that it was not known if any property was taken.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Charlotte Scott, of the 3300 block of Woodland Ave., reported that someone entered her home and stole several pieces of clothing valued at more than $260.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Police reported that someone stole lawn furniture valued at $400 from the property of Carl Williams in the 5100 block of Woolverton Ave.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Lonnie Jackson, of the 1400 block of Kingsway Road, told police he was in the 3500 block of Copley Road shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a man with a handgun who demanded his property. Police said Jackson gave the gunman property with an unknown value.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Robert Meade, of the 5200 ** block of Park Heights Ave., told police he was walking in the 3200 block of Hayward Ave. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who knocked him to the pavement and then robbed him of cash and property, all valued at $50.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police said a resident of the 400 block of S. Wickham Road was riding his bicycle in the 3100 block of Yosemite Ave. around 6 p.m. yesterday when he was assaulted by an older youth who knocked him off the bike and stole it. Police said the victim was not injured and that the bike was valued at more than $100.

ROBBERY TRY: Northwestern District -- Sherania Tilghman, of the 3900 block of Cedardale Road, reported she was walking in the 4200 block of Wabash Ave. yesterday evening when she was accosted from the rear by a man who attempted to steal her purse. Police said Tilghman resisted, and the man fled without robbing her.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police today were seeking a man who entered the Subway carry-out in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. Sunday evening and forced an employee to give him the money from the cash register. Police said the gunman escaped with more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Argonne Drive reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend and removed an air conditioner valued at $800 from window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that jewelry valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 5700 block of Cross Country Blvd. after someone entered by forcing the front door. Police said the burglary occurred yesterday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered an apartment in the 200 block of E. 31st St. and stole a compact disc player, cash and a bike. Police said the property was valued at $300 and that entry was gained by climbing a ladder and entering a second-floor window.

THEFT: Northern District -- John Russell, of the 800 block of E. Lake Ave., reported that someone broke into his 1984 Toyota between Sunday and yesterday while the vehicle was parked near his home and stole two cameras and a checkbook. Russell told police the property was valued at nearly $1,100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Two residents of the 5500 block of York Road told police that someone entered their apartment while they were asleep and stole property having a total value of nearly $10,000. Mohammed Younis told police his watch, ring and cash with a total value of $2,380 were stolen. His roommate, Mohammed Iqual, reported the loss of his watch and jewelry, all valued at $7,455. The men told police they suspect two people who visited them yesterday stole their property while they were asleep.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that Shirley Lewis, of the 1200 block of Madison Ave., was in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. yesterday evening when she was accosted by a man with a handgun who robbed her of her purse containing $200. Police said the gunman also robbed Lewis of her 1988 Pontiac bearing license plates VFY-188.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Lonnie White, of the 2100 block of Crimea Road, reported he was in the 500 block of N. Pulaski St. when he was accosted by two men, one with a handgun, who demanded he give up his jewelry. Police said White gave the men jewelry valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 200 block of N. Carey St. reported his home was broken into by someone over the weekend who stole stereo equipment and a tape recorder. Police said the property was valued at $500.
