CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. has appointed Gary G. Dewey senior vice president, senior managing officer. In 1983 Dewey opened the office, formerly known as Coldwell Banker Commercial.

James K. Killelea has been named senior vice president-group general counsel at the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co., a subsidiary of USF&G Corp. He will be responsible for the legal affairs of USF&G's property/casualty operation. Previously he was a vice president and general counsel of the Home Insurance Co. in New York.

John M. Lummis has been named vice president-group general counsel for the Diversified Investment Group of USF&G. Previously he was with the law firm, Shearman & Sterling of New York.

Steven A. Cook has been named senior vice president-corporate controller. He comes from CIGNA Corp. of Nashville, Tenn., where he was senior vice president-finance.

James E. Stangroom was named vice president-financial reporting; Kathleen F. Wycoff, vice president-financial relations; Joan H. Dillard, vice president-treasurer; Christie A. Hunter, vice president-planning and analysis; and Ed A. Williams, vice president-administration.

Trena Brown, a national accounts manager for AT&T, has received the 1991 Clementine Peterson Award. Given by United Way Community Services, the award recognized Brown's exceptional volunteer service and leadership with the United Way stem at the regional and local community levels.

Attorney Philip Sturman has opened a new company, Auditek, an affiliate of the Utility Rebate Corp. The Columbia company audits telephone, electric, gas, water, sewage and freight bills for overcharges for commercial and industrial clients.

Linda Brooks, a supervisor with Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman P.A., has been appointed to the Estate, Gift and Estate Planning Committee of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Brooks is a certified public accountant whose expertise includes trusts. She works in the firm's Towson office.

Patrick J. Collison has been appointed vice president, construction, at Kimball Construction Co., a Towson-based general contracting firm. He will be responsible for the management and coordination of field operations.

Development:Development: Brenda Crabbs has been appointed director of marketing and community relations for New Town Development Corp., the managing developer of Owings Mills New Town. She was formerly executive director of the Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce and before that served as Baltimore County growth coordinator. * Thulman Eastern Corp., a distributor and manufacturer of fireplace products, has appointed Robert Simpson sales manager, Maryland Division, covering the Howard County


At the plant:

Sarah L. Lambdin has been promoted to senior food technologist for the Product Development Department of the McCormick/Schilling Division of McCormick & Co. Inc.


The H. Chambers Co., an international interior design and planning firm, has appointed Gene Agerton as director of corporate accounts.

On the board:

James R. Bosley Jr., executive vice president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Fowblesburg has been elected to the bank's board of directors.
