Wallace J. Hoff of Ellicott City has been appointed general manager of Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group's Design Engineering and Manufacturing Operations Divisions.

In his new post, Hoff will be responsible for focusing the Electronic Systems Group's engineering and manufacturing activities with the goal of quality and cost effective products.

AEROBICS HEAD NAMED

N. Denise Schnitzer has been named aerobics director for the Ellicott City-based Normandy Health & Fitness Center.

Schnitzer is certified as a dance-exercise leader by the American Council on Exerciseand also has received training and certification from The Institute for Aerobic Research in Dallas.

She was a 1988 medalist in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Aerobics Championship.

LAW FIRM ADDS DRAPER

Kraft, Balcerzak and Bartlett, a Columbia-based law firm, has announced the appointment of Paul E. Draper as associate counsel.

Draper previously worked for the Judges of the Orphans' Court in Baltimore City.

His practice will focus on wills, trusts and estates.

HEALTH OFFICIAL NAMED

Dalton A. Tong of Columbia, vice president and chief financial officer of the Greater Southeast Community Hospital, has been elected president of the Washington Metro Chapter of the HealthcareFinancial Management Association.

The organization is a national organization serving the membership needs of health care financial managers.

Tong serves on the graduate faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health and is a frequent speaker around the country on national health care issues.

SIX JOIN CHAMBER BOARD

The Chamber of Commerce has announced the election of six new board of directors who will serve three-year terms.

New board members include: Donna Ange, president and co-owner of InterPay Automatic Payroll Service; Victor A. Broccolino, president and chief executive officer of Howard County General Hospital; Sidney Louis Cousin, associate superintendent of finance and operations, Howard County Public Schools; Padraic M. Kennedy, president of the Columbia Association; Duke S. Kassolis, vice president and director of commercial and retail properties at the Rouse Co.; and Gordon M. Mumpower Jr., a business insurance broker.

The new board members will join current members of the board: Robert W. Locke III of The Columbia Bank and William H. Munn of Maryland Environmental Systems.

HOBELMAN HONORED

JeanHobelman of American Properties was named by the Sales and MarketingCouncil of the Home Builder Association of Maryland as the 1990 Sales Consultant of the Year.

Hobelman, who represents Trinity Builders, recorded more than $4 million in sales for 1990.
