A man wearing a camouflage rain poncho escaped with cash and drugs Tuesday night after robbing a Columbia drug store, county police said.
Police said the man, believed to have been carrying a gun, entered the People's Drug store in the 8600 block of Guilford Road shortly before 8:20 p.m. and jumped behind the prescription counter, police said.
He then ordered the pharmacist to open the safe and give him the cash from the register, police said.
The man then took an unknown amount of prescription drugs from the safe.
Police described the man as a white male in his 30s with a thin build, with light brown hair and a mustache.
Police said he wore a green or brown rain poncho.
Police said they have several leads in the case.

8900 block River Island Drive: July 1, an unknown man indecently exposed himself at 4:20p.m. to two young children who were playing near a community pool.
U.S. 40 and U.S. 29: June 28, a 1988 Pontiac Firebird was stolen sometime before 8 a.m. from O'Donnell Pontiac automotive dealership.
9700 block Country Meadows: June 28, a 1984 Chevrolet Camaro was reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. from an apartment complex parking lot.
4200 block Montgomery Road: June 28, a lawn tractor and several pieces of lawn equipment were stolensometime before 9 p.m. from a storage shed that was forcibly entered.
