Dolores Rice, property manager, dies

Services for Dolores Helm Rice, a retired real estate manager, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Newman Center, 7909 York Road.

Mrs. Rice, who was 66 and lived in Towson, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a 13-month battle with cancer.

The Baltimore native was a real estate agent before becoming property manager of the Courthouse Square Apartments in 1969. She retired in 1986.

Mrs. Rice was president of the Maryland Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1983 and was named Manager of the Year in 1984. She was a member of the Country Club of Maryland.

Surviving are her husband, Romney W. Rice; two daughters, Patricia A. Margarum of Annapolis and Jeanne E. Pokrywka of Elkton; a son, Louis Paul Rossman of Towson; two stepsons, Bruce S. Rice and D. Jeffrey Rice, both of Baltimore; a sister, Charlotte Helm, and two brothers, Louis Frederick Helm and Paul Charles Helm, all of Towson; and ten grandchildren.

The family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
