BASEBALL American League * Cleveland Indians -- Traded Tom Candiotti (pitcher) and Turner Ward (outfielder) to the Toronto Blue Jays for Denis Boucher (pitcher), Glenallen Hill and Mark Whiten (outfielders) and a player to be named later. Sent Beau Allred (outfielder) and Luis Lopez (infielder) to Colorado Springs of the Pacific Coast League.

* Toronto Blue Jays -- Assigned Turner Ward (outfielder) to Syracuse of the International League.

National League * Cincinnati Reds -- Activated Eric Davis (outfielder) from the 15-day disabled list. Optioned Tim Layana (pitcher) to Nashville of the American Association.

* New York Mets -- Announced that their Double-A affiliate will move from Williamsport to Binghamton, effective 1992.

* Philadelphia Phillies -- Placed Pat Combs (pitcher) on the 15-day disabled list. Activated Wally Ritchie (pitcher) from the 15-day disabled list.
