DRUG ARREST: Southwestern District -- A 19-year-old West Baltimore man was arrested early today and charged with possession of cocaine after a vial fell out of his pocket when Officer Allen Adkins asked him for identification. Adkins reported he was investigating a tip about men dealing in drugs in the 3300 block of Mulberry St. at 2 a.m. when he spotted several men standing on a corner. When the officer approached, all but one walked away. Adkins said he asked the remaining man for ID, and the man was reaching into his pocket to remove his wallet when the vial containing suspected cocaine fell out. After arresting the man, Adkins searched him and found another 15 vials and more than $100 in cash. Charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and held overnight at the station pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner was Michael Harris, of the 700 block of N. Edgewood St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Mark A. Outz, of the 1400 block of N. Ellwood Ave., reported he was in the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. early Monday morning when four men in their late teens or early 20s threatened him and robbed him of more than $40.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police responding to a burglary in the 2300 block of Division St. arrested a northwest city woman who attempted to steal property. Police said she was being held at the Women's Detention Center pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Andre Paige, of the first block of S. Charles Plaza, reported he was in the 1700 block of N. Monroe St. when he was attacked for no apparent reason by several men who struck him in the face with their fists and kicked him. Police said Paige was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and released.

THEFT: Western District -- An employee of Baltimore Auto and Truck Rental in the 2300 block of N. Howard St. reported that someone removed the tires and rims from one of the firm's trucks while it was parked in the 200 block of N. Warwick Ave. Police said the equipment was valued at $600.

ASSAULT: Western District -- David Lee Hill, of the 500 block of Lakewood Ave., reported he was in the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. when he was attacked by a man he knows, who struck him with a baseball bat. Police said Hill sustained minor injuries to the neck.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2500 block of W. North Ave. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing the front door and stole a VCR valued at nearly $300.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Beronda Fenner, of the 2000 block of Rayner Ave., reported she was in the 500 block of N. Pulaski St. Monday evening when she was attacked by a man who struck her with his fists and robbed her of her purse, which contained cash and property of undetermined value. Police said Fenner was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she was treated for injuries and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A driver for Vizzini's pizza in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. told police he was delivering a food order in the 2500 block of W. Fairmount Ave. early Monday morning when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of nearly $40.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Ladden Vaughan, of the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave., told police she was attacked in the 900 block of N. Arlington Ave. by a 17-year-old female who struck her with a baseball bat. Police said Vaughan was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and the teen-ager was arrested. Following assault charges as a juvenile, the girl was released into the custody of her parents.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Mark Chisholm, of the first block Clairford Court, in Arbutus, reported he was sitting in his car in the 800 block of N. Howard St. early yesterday morning when he was approached by a man with a handgun. Chisholm told police the man robbed him of wallet, valued at about $60, and ran away.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Employees of Baxter Technologies in the 1300 block of N. Calvert St. reported that someone broke into their building through a window around 5 a.m. yesterday and stole a telephone.

RAPE/ROBBERY: Central District -- A 19-year-old woman reported she was in the 200 block of E. North Ave. around 5 a.m. Monday when she was approached by a man who demanded her money. She told police the man forced her to accompany him into the dark stairwell of a nearby building, where he struck her with his fists and raped her. He robbed her of more than $20 and fled. Police said she was taken to the Mercy Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Victoria Spassova, of the 900 block of St. Paul St., told police she was about to enter the vestibule of her apartment building Monday night when a man came up behind her and stole her purse, which contained a small sum of money.
