Services for Ruth June Addison, a court stenographer in the early 1920s, will be held today at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road.

Mrs. Addison died Monday of cardiac arrest at her Timonium home. She was 89.

The former Ruth Bollinger graduated from Sadlers Business College in Baltimore in 1918 and was a stenographer for the Underwriters Typewriters Co.

She was a court stenographer in Baltimore for three years until her marriage to Charles Raymond Addison Sr., an accountant for Davidson Chemical Co. who died in 1977.

Mrs. Addison, a lifelong Baltimore-area resident, played classical piano and sang at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arcadia, where she lived for many years.

She also was known for her interior-design ability.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Jean Link of Towson and Bette L. Rauck of Timonium; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
