ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Gilbert Lyles, of the 4200 block of Kenshaw Ave., reported he was walking in the 6200 block of Reisterstown Road yesterday afternoon when he was accosted by a man armed with a knife who pressed the weapon to his throat and ordered him to give up his money. Police said Lyles complied, giving the armed man about $100 in cash. Police said the robber fled the scene on foot before driving off in a car.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Employees of Aaro used cars and service in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. reported that someone broke into their office and stole the ignition keys to several cars parked on the lot. Police said none of the cars were stolen.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into the Prayer Tower Church in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. over the weekend by forcing the front door. Police said several rooms were ransacked but that it was not immediately known if any property was taken.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Lakisha Prout, of the 800 block of Lennox St., reported she was in the 2200 block of Eutaw Place Saturday evening when she was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who demanded her cash and property. Police said the gunman fled the scene after robbing Prout of $2 in cash and property valued at $200.

ROBBERIES: Eastern District -- Police reported that four men walking in the 1200 block of Harford Ave. early Sunday morning were robbed of their property by two men, one armed with an unknown caliber handgun. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with a watch and several pieces of jewelry, all valued at nearly $300. Police identified the victims as Robert Jacobs, of the 800 block of Harlem Ave.; Michael Ryles, of the 1800 block of Rutland Ave.; Ayala Austin, of the 1700 block of E. North Ave.; and Rodney Pate, of the 1800 block of N. Wolfe St.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Police today were seeking a man in connection with the robbery of Juanita Allen, of the 1600 block of Aisquith St. Allen told police that during an incident at her home she was assaulted by a man known to her who struck her with his fists and robbed her of more than $40 in cash. Police said Allen was advised to seek a warrant for the man's arrest.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- An employee of Tri-State Services in the 7500 block of Connelly Drive reported that while his truck was parked in the 4200 block of Clareway someone entered the vehicle by breaking a lock and stole an electric welding torch. Police said the welding equipment was valued at $800.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- William Crews, of the 4300 block of Blakely Ave., reported that while his 1988 Oldsmobile was parked in the 2400 block of Sinclair Lane someone broke into the vehicle and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 12-year-old resident of the 1600 block of E. 32nd St. reported to police that someone stole his bicycle valued at $ 100, from the front porch of his home yesterday afternoon

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Lloyd Battle, 40, of the 1100 block of Gorsuch Ave., reported that property valued at $800 was stolen from the back yard of his home between 8 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. Monday.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a garage in the rear of the 3300 block of Shannon Drive and stole property valued at $200. Police said the break-in occurred Monday and that entry was gained by removing a pane of glass from a door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Walena Dressel, of the 4100 block of Coleman Ave., told police she was walking in the 3600 block of Bonview Road around 7:30 p.m. yesterday when a man approached her from the rear and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at nearly $30.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Omar Smith, of the 6800 block of Parsons Ave., reported his 1988 Honda was parked in the 1900 block of Hillenwood Road between Sunday and yesterday when someone broke into the vehicle and stole stereo equipment valued at nearly $400.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Nicole Green, of the 2100 block of McCulloh St., reported she was in the 1900 block of Whitelock St. Saturday night when she was accosted by a man and his female companion who robbed her of two gold earrings. Green told police the man was armed with a knife and threatened to kill her. Police said the property was valued at $300 and that two people sought in connection with the robbery were later arrested. Police said David Layne and Regina Jackson, both of the 2300 block of Avalon St., were each charged with armed assault and robbery. Police said Layne and Jackson were being held at the City Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond each.
