Marlene Prendergast & Associates, based in Annapolis, has been nominated for the Best in Maryland Award by the Public Relations Society of America, Maryland Chapter.

The nomination is for the Direct MailPromotional announcement for the relocation of their offices to 705 Melvin Ave. in Annapolis.

NEW CLIENTS FOR SNYDER

John H. Snyder Associates Inc., a Crofton-based advertising and public relations agency, recently announced the addition of two clients to its roster.

The agency has been retained by Replacement Concepts Inc., of Greenwich, Conn., to develop a corporate communications,public relations and advertising program.

Replacement Concepts provides vehicle theft protection services through an insurance protection program for both new and used automobiles.

Gorham Bronze, a 160-year-old company specializing in bronze memorials, recently retained Snyder to provide public relations services.

CHINESE FOOD, ANYONE?

Hong Kong Taste has leased 2,400 square feet in Town Center located in Glen Burnie and owned by Six C/D Associates Limited Partnership.

Hong Kong Taste is a full-service Chinese restaurant. Bob Powell of CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. represented the tenant in this transaction.

CENTURY REALTY GAINS

Century 21 Volke Realty, located in Pasadena, recently reported a 250 percent increase in production during the first quarter of 1991 over 1990.

The office's new client coordination system, which enables the firm to direct new customers and clients to sales associates specializing in their specific real estate requirements, was credited with the increase.

The firm also uses the Century 21 Sales Performance System, which utilizes modelsituations recorded on videotape to test the performance of real estate agents. Century 21 Volke Realty employs 22 real estate professionals, and offers residential properties, new construction and propertymanagement services.
