Hewett To Be Installed

The Rev. Elizabeth B. Hewett will be installed Sunday as associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Annapolis. The installation will be included in the church's Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m.

The Rev. Timothy Stern, associate pastor of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, will represent the moderator of the Baltimore Presbytery. He will deliver the charge to the congregation. The Rev. Gretchen Van Utt, chaplain at Johns Hopkins University, will givethe charge to the new associate pastor. First Presbyterian's Pastor,the Rev. Timothy J. Havlicek, will give the sermon.

Also taking part in the service will be Dr. Suzanne A. Hewett, Hewett's mother.

A reception honoring Hewett is planned in the church's fellowship hall following the service.

In other staff news, the church has named Penny Vance of Baltimoreas director of music.

Vance will coordinate all music programs. She will lead the church's adult Chancel Choir and be responsible for other choirs, handbell choirs and instrumental ensembles.
