Rosalie S. Abrams, director of the Maryland Office on Aging announces the statewide availability of a unique computer program. This program, known as Benefits Outreach and Screening Software, is designed tolink senior citizens to programs and services for which they may qualify.
BOSS is a software program developed for the Maryland Officeon Aging by the U.S. Health Cooperative, with the assistance of a grant from the Abell Foundation. Maryland is the first of only four states to provide this service to seniors statewide.
The primary goal of BOSS is to optimize the linkage between people needing service and the community resources that are available for providing these services.
