Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Central District -- Abdi Allen, of the 500 block of Bloom St., reported he was riding his bicycle in the 1400 block of W. Mount Royal Ave. around 8 p.m. Monday when he was accosted by two men, one of whom was holding a large dog on a leash. Police said that when the man with the dog threatened to loose it on Allen, Allen dropped his bike and fled. Police said the two men picked up the $100 bike and escaped.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Montague Hughes, 23, an employee at a parking lot in the 700 block of Eastern Ave., reported that after waiting on a motorist around 10 p.m. Monday, he was accosted by a man with a .22-caliber handgun who robbed him of about $100.

THEFT: Central District -- Stewart Clatterbaugh, 24, of the 100 block of E. Preston St., reported that while his car was parked near his home, someone got into the vehicle by breaking a window and stole clothing valued at $400.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Rosalyn Randolph, of the 2000 block of McCulloh St., reported that a man she knows as "Brian" struck her with his fists and robbed her of a small sum of money in the 1700 block of Division St. early yesterday.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone broke into Two Crazy Greeks Carryout and Restaurant in the 1300 block of N. Charles St. after the business closed due to a fire several days ago. It was not immediately known if anything was stolen.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Employees of Beachers, a bar in the first block of S. Eutaw St., reported that someone broke a front window with a bar stool, entered an office in the back of the building and stole more than $100.

RAPE: Central District -- An employee of an athletic club told police she was walking in the 1700 block of Eutaw Place around 8 p.m. Monday when she was grabbed from behind by a man who placed a hard object in her back and forced her to accompany him into an area between two houses in the 1700 block of Morris St. There, the man forced the woman to partially disrobe and raped her. He escaped on foot. Police said the woman ran home and reported the incident. Police said the woman refused to be taken to a hospital for medical treatment, saying she would seek treatment from her own doctor.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Ravenwood Road reported that two people who rent rooms from her entered her apartment and stole $500. Police said the victim was expected to have the people taken to court to answer theft charges.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Nancy Ainscow, a resident of Rockville, reported that while her car was parked in the 3600 block of Kimble Road, someone broke into it by forcing a rear door and stole property valued at more than $4,100, including computer equipment and clothing.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Anderson Electric, in the first block of Nashua Court in Essex, reported that someone entered a job site in the 1500 block of Gorsuch Ave. and stole tools valued at $400.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Alexander Bullock, of the 3700 block of Loch Raven Blvd., reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked near his home and stole a wallet and an AM-FM stereo radio, both valued at $200.

BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Police arrested two teen-age boys and released them in the custody of their parents after charging them as juveniles with breaking into a dwelling yesterday evening in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Ave. Police said the youths stole property valued at more than $70.

SHOOTINGS: Northeastern District -- Police said two men were shot Monday night during an argument in the 1100 block of E. Cold Spring Lane. Police said James Jefferson, 19, of the 700 block of Beaverbrook Road, and John Greenridge, 22, of the 6800 block of Eastridge Road in Woodlawn, were accosted by several men around 10 p.m. They said an argument broke out and at least one of the men in the group pulled out a gun and shot Jefferson in the buttocks and Greenridge in the face. Police said the group of men fled and the two victims were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where both were admitted in fair condition. Police said Jefferson and Greenridge refused to provide information about the men or the argument.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Jill Weinstein, of the 1400 block of Cedarcroft Road, reported that while her car was parked near her home, someone broke into it and stole property valued at $500.

ARSON: Northeastern District -- Tamara Carter, 26, of the 3900 block of Southclare Road, reported she was at home late Monday night when she smelled smoke. Police said that when Carter went to her kitchen, she saw smoke and flames coming from a window and called the Fire Department. They said the fire was quickly extinguished and that it appeared someone had reached through the window and set the curtains on fire. Police said the damage was confined to the window area. They said no arrest had been made and the incident remains under investigation.
