Marine Sgt. John Fela, son of Bertha A. Audit of Laurel, has been promoted to his present rank while serving in Yuma, Ariz.

Fela joined the Marine Corps in January 1986.

He is a 1983 graduate of Hammond High School.


Air Force Capt. Stephanie S. Green, daughter of Elvera S. Cochrell ofColumbia, has graduated from squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Ala.

Graduates of the school studies topics that prepare junior Air Force officers for command and staff duties.

Green is aacquisition contracting officer at McGuire Air Force Base, Wrightstown, N.J.

He is a 1981 graduate of Centennial High School.


Navy Chief Petty Officer Gregory G. Parrucci, son of Anthony and Lillie Parrucci of Laurel, has been designated an enlisted aviation warfare specialist.

To receive his designation Parrucci was required to demonstrate knowledge in various naval aviation topics, serve for 24 months aboard a ship assigned to a aviation billetand pass an oral examination.

Parrucci joined the Navy in February 1978.

He is a 1974 graduate of Laurel Senior High School.


Navy Seaman Recruit Jonah S. Eisenberg, son of Jackie N. Eisenberg of Mount Airy, has completed recruit training in San Diego.


Marine 2nd Lt. Jason M. Levinson, a 1984 graduate of Glenelg High School, has graduated from the Combat Engineer Officer Course.

After completion of this course that coversareas such as land mine warfare, bridging, job management and planning, graduates are qualified to perform tasks appropriate for a platoon commander.

Levinson joined the Marine Corps in January 1990.


Marine Lance Cpl. Eric J. Knotts, son of Johnny and Phyllis Knotts of Laurel, recently reported for duty with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Cherry Point, N.C.

Knotts joined the Marine Corps in November 1989.


Army Pvt. Karen L. Neal, daughter of Margaret L. Goode of Eldersburg, has completed basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
