Edgar Prado booted in five winners yesterday, breaking out of a tie with Mike Luzzi for the lead in the Pimlico Race Course jockeys standings.

From eight mounts, Prado won with Mighty McGuire ($13) in the first, Stolen Skates ($4.40) in the fourth, Stalking ($10.80) in the seventh, Sunny Terror ($3.80) in the eighth and Shine On Sarah ($8) in the 10th.

The five wins give Prado a 64-59 lead over Luzzi, who went winless in six races.

Trainers Dale Capuano and King Leatherbury were also shut out yesterday, maintaining a first-place tie in the trainers race.

Gold Rusher, ridden by Marco Castaneda, won the featured ninth race, a $20,000 allowance. The 3-year-old filly won for the second straight start and paid $19.20 to win.
