The Gerard Co. recently appointed Joyce Poling to their creative department.

Poling will develop and write brochures, scripts, as wellas print and electronic ad copy for the Hanover-based full service advertising agency.

For the past two years, Polis worked in the media department of the Gerard Co., where she bought print media space.

BECKMAN TO GET CRS

Realtor Alex Beckman of Century 21 Moss Realty in Odenton has completed coursework necessary to receive the Certified Residential Specialist Designation.

Upon receipt of the designation, Beckman will join the less than 2 percent of all Realtor/associates who hold the prestigious designation.

Since joining the Odenton realty, Beckman has completed four of the necessary courses to receive the designation.

RAINS GETS SALES AWARD

Debra Rains of Century 21 Volke Realty was honored for first quarter production with a silver Sales Leader award.

Rains joined the Pasadena office in October 1990. She has been honored several times in the past for her work in the real estate field.

WILLIAMS DOES COURSE

Bruce Williams, a sales associate with Century 21 Moss Realty, has completed the Century 21 2&1 course, Century 21 Effective Finance course and the Century 21 VIP Sales Associate course.

The courses, offered through the Century 21 CareerTrak train

ing program, provide real estate agents with up-to-date training in the constantly changing market.

By completing the courses, Williams can achieve professional designations in various areas of expertise, including residential sales and commercial/investment.

VOLKEAT CONVENTION

Karyn Volke of Century 21 Volke Realty in Pasadena,recently returned from a gathering of 10,000 Century 21 conventioneers in Las Vegas, Nev.

At the convention, Volke learned of upcomingchanges to

the Century 21 system.

BARLOW PROMOTED AT BANK

Carol L. Barlow has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager, at Annapolis National Bank, Taylor Avenue Branch.

Barlow recently joined the bank as assistant branch manager after an extensive banking career with Dominion Bank of Maryland, N.A., formerly State National Bank of Maryland.

Barlow graduated from the Maryland Banking School in 1989.
