The following Memorial Day events are planned today:

* American Legion Gold Star Post No. 191, Memorial Day service, 11 a.m. in the Historic Pine Grove Chapel, South Main Street, Mount Airy.

* American Legion Post No. 39, Memorial Day ceremony, 11 a.m. at the War Memorial in Bel Air.

* Dedication of a plaque to the seven Marylanders who died in the Persian Gulf war, 11 a.m., Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Road, Timonium.

* Old St. Paul's Cemetery Restoration Committee, tea and commemorative ceremony to honor Revolutionary and Civil War heroes interred at Old St. Paul's burial ground, 1 p.m. at Redwood Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

* Maryland Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association, ceremony, 10 a.m. at the Korean War Memorial, 2903 Boston St.

* Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 451, service, 10 a.m. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 2825 S. Hanover St., South Baltimore.

* Veterans of Foreign Wars Annapolis Post No. 304, parade, 9 a.m., Amos Garrett Boulevard.

* Memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery, noon.

*Memorial service, 11 a.m. at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham.

* Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, memorial service, 1:30 p.m. at 1080 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville.

The cemetery is scheduled to hold another service at 11 a.m. Thursday.

* Maryland State Veterans Cemetery in Dorchester County, memorial service, 2 p.m. at 6827 Ellwood Road, Hurlock.

The cemetery plans to hold another service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

* Maryland State Veterans Cemetery in Garrison Forest, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, will hold a service at 1 p.m.
