This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.
Maryland contracts
Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $14,669,215 contract from the Air Force for radar equipment.
LVI Environmental Services Inc. in Rockville won a $1,499,131 contract from the Army to remove asbestos.
Scandia Mfg. Co. in Baltimore won a $652,405 contract from the Navy to provide assembly and testing services for submarine antennas and periscope systems.
General Kinetics Inc. in Rockville won a $621,000 contract from the Navy to provide electronic equipment cabinets.
Whiteford Construction Co. in Whiteford won a $309,400 contract from the Marine Corps to remove lime and aluminum sludge.
Ross Murphy Finkelstein in Baltimore won a $256,402 contract from the Army and Air Force to alter building heating systems.
Vatica Contracting Inc. in Hyattsville won a $190,252 contract from the Navy for a roofing contract at various locations in the Naval District.
Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Hunt Valley won a $148,596 contract from the Air Force to provide integrated circuits.
J. R. Roane Construction Inc. in Forestville won a $114,996 contract from the Navy to provide a building addition.
Rommel Electric Co. in Salisbury won a $102,800 contract from the Navy to provide a combat systems center.

Maxima Corp. in Lanham won a $2,072,074 contract from the Goddard Space Flight Center to provide support services to libraries in Greenbelt and Wallops.
Frank Parsons Paper Co. in Landover won a $1,800,000 contract extension from the United States Information Agency for coated book and cover printing paper for magazines.
Infrared Fiber Systems Inc. in Silver Spring won a $494,303 contract from the Goddard Space Flight Center to provide infrared fiber arrays for low background infrared astronomy.
Turnbull Enterprises Inc. in Baltimore won a $427,055 contract from the Coast Guard to provide shipboard furniture.
Kunitz and Associates Inc. in Rockville won a $178,013 contract from the Public Health Service to provide effective data sources for ambulatory care.
Parsons Frank Paper Co. Inc. in Landover won a $138,919 contract from the Defense General Supply Center to furnish lithographic finish map paper.
Hub Labels Inc. in Hagerstown won a $130,024 contract from the U.S. Government Printing Office to provide printing services.
