SEVERNA PARK MAN ROBBED AT BANK

County police were looking yesterday for the man who robbed a Severna Park restaurant employee Monday morning.

Police said the Hornand Horn Smorgasbord restaurant clerk was making a bank deposit at First American Bank in the Severna Park Mall at about 11 a.m.

A manarmed with a handgun walked up and demanded money.

Police described the robber as a white male about 35 years old.

PASADENA MAN CHARGED WITH THEFT

An 18-year-old Pasadena man was charged with attempted robbery Sunday after police said he tried to rob a 16-year-old at aGlen Burnie elementary school.

FOR THE RECORD - A police brief in Wednesday's paper misidentified a man charged withthe May 12 attempted robbery of a 16-year-old boy at Quarterfield Elementary School.
Jeffery James Downs, 18, of the 200 block of Armstrong Lane in Pasadena, was charged with attempted robbery with a deadly weapon.

Robert Stanford Jenkins, of the 8100 block of Great Bend Road,was charged with the May 12 robbery at Quarterfield Elementary School.

Police said the 16-year-old Pasadenaboy was at the elementary school at about 1 p.m. when a man with a knife walked up and demanded $20. The man did not get the money.

CAB DRIVER HELD UP BY 2 PASSENGERS

A taxi driver told police he was robbed by two men in the parking lot of a Severna Park shopping center yesterday morning.

Police said the driver had two passengers in histaxi. One asked him to pull into the parking lot of a shopping center in the 400 block of Ritchie Highway, saying he felt sick.

Once the car was stopped, one of the men put a sharp object to the driver'shead and demanded money. The driver handed over a quantity of money,and the robbers left the cab.
