The stars are coming out in Ocean City this summer. Big name entertainers Ray Charles, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Jay Leno, Garth Brooks and Kenny Rogers will be at the Convention Center in July and August.

Singer Ray Charles, who is seen advertising Diet Pepsi on television commercials these days, will be there at 8 p.m. July 3. Tickets are $17.50.

Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach are scheduled for 8 p.m. July 17. Tickets are $25. Comedian Jay Leno, who often sits in for Johnny Carson on the "Tonight Show," will take the stage at 8 p.m. July 31. Tickets are $17.50.

Country singer Garth Brooks, whose recent video on wife abuse has come under fire by critics as being too violent, will be in Ocean City at 8 p.m. Aug. 7. He will appear with singer Trisha Yearwood. Tickets are $18.50 and $21.50.

And on Aug. 14, Kenny Rogers will return to Ocean City for the fourth time at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $23.50.

Singer La Toya Jackson is scheduled to appear at Scandals, 65th Street and the bay, later this month. Last Sunday, Donnie Osmond was there, these days without the purple socks he was known for wearing in the 1970s.
