The downtown co-op gallery is spotlighting (through June 2) Louise Ehlers' "Southern Exposure" series and Jane Neary's close-up views of Maryland landscapes and formal floral gardens. Ms. Ehlers' works are of shore marsh and rural settings done in a representational style. Call 547-0452.


"Land to Sea: Five Photographers Focus." 8090 Main St., Ellicott City

This show (through Saturday) presents an array of approaches to landscape photography. Diana Itter focuses on seascapes; Nancy O'Neill on environmental pieces, such as lawn furniture overgrown with weeds. Natalie Harvey portrays vintage landscape, including statues that are out of place and old buildings. David Crandall photographs eroding desert caves in Arizona and New Mexico. MFA Thesis Exhibition. The Art-Sociology Building, University of Maryland at College Park

The Master of Fine Arts show (through May 17) features works by 1989-1990 graduates. Look for monochromatic paintings, colorful and spontaneous abstract compositions, nature images depicting spirituality, carved wooden sculptures of white oak, maple and beechwood, and mobile murals in this varied display. Works by Josephine Murray and Greg Moring. 9917 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills

A figurative and flowing exhibition (through May) will show works by Josephine Murray and Greg Moring. Ms. Murray, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, specializes in figurative foliage with drawings in pastel and charcoal. Mr. Moring, who graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of ,, Art, creates unique sculptures -- figurative, kinetic and movable. Call 363-8431.
