The bodies of two St. Mary's County men who fell overboard when their boat capsized while they worked their eel pots in the Patuxent River off Sotterly Point last month have been recovered, said a spokesman for the state Department of Natural Resources Police.

The men, Richard A. Daly, 32, and Louis W. Hill 3rd, 23, both of Mechanicsville, were pulled from the Calvert County side of the river about eight miles apart yesterday by a DNR officer in a Boston whaler after a caller notified the Calvert County Sheriff's Office that he saw two bodies floating in the water.

It was not known how far the bodies had drifted from where the men fell into the water when their 15-foot outboard capsized April 24.

A DNR spokesman said the bodies were taken to the state medical examiner's office, where autopsies were to be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
