ASSAULT ON OFFICER: Western District -- Police said a 31-year-old woman was arrested last night and charged with pointing a handgun at an officer. They said that about 9:15 p.m., Officer John Peranio responded to a call of a disorderly woman in a house in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. Inside, he was confronted by a woman with a handgun. While she kept the weapon pointed at Peranio, police said, he talked to her, trying to persuade her to surrender it. After several minutes, the woman did so and was arrested by Peranio without further incident. Police said Eunice Blake, of the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave., was charged with assault by pointing a handgun at a police officer and using a handgun in the commission of a crime. Police said Blake was held overnight at the Women's Detention Center pending a bail hearing today in District Court.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man who shot at his girlfriend in a dwelling in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. Police said Dawn Williams, of the 3200 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway, was arguing with her boyfriend when he picked up a large-caliber handgun. As the man was leaving the apartment, police said, he turned toward Williams and fired a shot. They said the bullet missed her.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Tina Harris, of the 1500 block of Woodyear St., reported she was in the 600 block of Gold St. when a man with a knife forced her to give up $2.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Carol Holmes, of the 1600 block of W. North Ave., told police she was robbed of her leather coat and cash, all valued at more than $200, by two men, one with a handgun, as she walked in the 1100 block of N. Monroe St.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said Ahmed Rucker, of the 200 block of Midpines Court in Owings Mills, was listed today in fair condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after he was shot three times over the weekend in the 100 block of N. Payson St. Police said Rucker was attacked by two men, one with a handgun, who shot him three times. Police said the two were being sought on attempted murder charges.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man known as "Carl" in the assault and robbery late Saturday night of Rosita Dorsey, of the 500 block of Presstman St. Dorsey told police she was in the 1700 block of N. Carey St. when she was attacked by a man who struck her with his fists and demanded her money. Police said the man fled after Dorsey gave him $10.

THEFT: Western District -- Pamela Bates, of the 1000 block of N. Monroe St., reported she was in the 500 block of N. Monroe St. when a man snatched $60 from her hands. Police said the man is an acquaintance of Bates, who was advised to seek a warrant for his arrest.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Dwayne Fromberger, of the 1600 block of Bakbury Court, reported he was riding his multispeed bike in the 1700 block of W. Saratoga St. when two men knocked him down and stole the bike, valued at $200.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police said a man with a handgun entered the lobby of Shoney's Motor Inn in the 1400 block of Bloomfield Ave. and ordered the night clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said he escaped with more than $100.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Gloria Lee, of the first block of N. Catherine St., reported she was in the 4500 block of Colborne Road when she was stopped by a man who reached into her jeans pockets and removed nearly $200.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 300 block of S. Furrow St. reported that someone broke into her home through a rear door and stole cassette tapes, a computer game and several computer game tapes, all valued at nearly $400.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Ray Valzanna, of the 2200 block of W. Pratt St., reported he was in the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. when a man grabbed him from behind and robbed him of more than $60.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that cash and several pieces of jewelry, valued at more than $600, were stolen from a dwelling in the 500 block of Brisbane Road after someone broke in through an unlocked door.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone used a key to enter a dwelling in the 4200 block of Loch Raven Blvd. yesterday and stole a TV and stereo equipment, valued at more than $1,000.
