Members of Congress, business executives and government officials will soon be reading a magazine from a publisher that many may not have heard from since their grade-school days.
Agenda, a glossy magazine subtitled America's Schools for the 21st Century, will be sent this week to about 250,000 people who have a stake in how America runs its schools.
Published by Scholastic Inc., the magazine is trying to position itself as the essential publication in the movement to revitalize and restructure American schools.
Agenda will be the first publication to devote itself entirely to the subject.
There will be one more issue this year and Agenda will become a quarterly next year.
