Full-plan holders get crack at more final-series tickets

Full-season Baltimore Orioles ticket holders have been given the first opportunity to purchase four additional tickets to the Oct. 4 (Friday night) and Oct. 5 (Saturday afternoon) games of the final regular-season weekend series in the 38-year history of Memorial Stadium.

The full-season ticket holders can choose either four upper reserved seats or four lower-deck general admission seats for the two games.

The Friday night game will feature what Orioles officials say will be the greatest display of fireworks seen at Memorial Stadium.

The Saturday afternoon game had been planned as "calendar day," but Orioles director of sales operations Vince Dunbar said yesterday that those plans might be changed.

Mini-plan ticket purchasers also will have an option to buy additional tickets, most likely two, for the Friday and Saturday games of the final series, Dunbar said.

The full-season ticket holders were sent a letter and an order form for the Oct. 4-5 tickets this week and have until May 15 to return the application.

The order form said that the full-season ticket holders are being given the chance to buy the extra tickets for the Oct. 4-5 games before a "limited public sale" begins.

Orders will be filled with the best available seats at the time of processing, the application form said.

It also said that full-season ticket holders may return obstructed-view seats by May 30 for a full refund if those locations are unacceptable.
