The Board of Education will conduct a final public hearing on the proposed Piney Ridge Elementary School redistricting plans 7:30 p.m. today at Liberty High School.
Board vice president Cheryl A. McFallshas asked the board to make a decision following the meeting. The school, situated off Freedom Road, south of Route 26, will open in September.
Little opposition was voiced to the three redistricting proposalsduring public meetings held in March.
The administration has recommended a plan, known as Option A, that would open the school with 490 students. Two other redistricting plans would bring enrollment close to or over capacity, which is 600.
