One Howard High School student was in serious condition and another was in satisfactory condition Tuesday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after a three-car collision Saturday evening. The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Dobbin Road, near Old Montgomery Road.

Milton Lee, 18, of the 5100 block of Thunder Hill Road, Columbia, was reported in serious but stable condition at the trauma center. Lee, a senior, is the goalie for his school's boys lacrosse team. (See story, Page 12.) Mark Grinspoon, 16, a sophomore who lives in the 8800 block of Besthold Garth, Columbia, was listed in satisfactory condition yesterday.

County police spokesman Sgt. Gary L. Gardner said Grinspoon was driving south on Dobbin Road when his compact car slid out of control on the wet pavement, crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by Robert Shaughness, 49, of the 6900 block of Spinning Seed, Columbia.

The driver of the third car, Jeffrey O'Connor, 34, of the 5700 block of Margreave Mews, Columbia, was reported uninjured.
