Group starts fund for burned child

May 01, 1991

The Black Political Forum of Anne Arundel County has begun an effort to raise funds for the treatment and care of 8-year-old Terrence Tolbert, who received severe burns to his face, left hand and right shoulder after falling into an electrical transformer April 23.

Terrence, whose condition has been upgraded from critical to serious, remains at the Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington.

Annapolis Alderman Carl O. Snowden said anyone interested in contributing to the fund should mail donations to Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, 2 Hicks Ave., Annapolis 21401. Checks should be made out to the church.

Annapolis police Officer Peter E. Medley and resident Joseph Parker helped to rescue Terrence from the transformer.
