Services for Catherine S. Claude, a retired checker at the Baltimore branch of the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond, Va., will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Church of the New Covenant, Wolfe and 20th streets.

Mrs. Claude, who was 61, died Friday of cancer at her home on Mantle Street in the Hillendale area.

Before working for the Federal Reserve she had done clerical work for the state and earlier did hairdressing for friends and neighbors at her home.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence Claude Jr. of Baltimore; three daughters, Darice and Sharon Claude of Baltimore and Jo Ann Claude of Detroit; a sister, Eleanor Scott of Baltimore; and 12 grandchildren.
