DURHAM, N.C. -- Mark Douglas scored four goals and Rob Wurzburger added two, as No. 4 Maryland edged No. 3 Virginia, 10-9, in an Atlantic Coast Conference tournament semifinal at Duke last night.
Maryland (8-2) will meet the winner of last night's Duke-North Carolina game at Duke tonight at 8.
The victory was Maryland's first in the three-year history of the ACC tournament, and it avenged a 10-9 loss to the Cavaliers (9-3) this month.
Virginia took a 3-0 lead, but Maryland scored the next five goals to take a 5-3 halftime lead, and the Terps led the rest of the way.
