This 'Buckett' brigade only passes on laughs

April 22, 1991

The perils of parenthood in the 1990s are reflected in "The Bucketts," a freshly funny comic strip that makes its debut today in The Evening Sun and newspapers throughout the country. It joins the comic lineup on Page D5, along with Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes, Blondie and Hi & Lois.

The strip is the creation of Scott Stantis, the celebrated editorial cartoonist of the Arizona Republic and the father of two sons who bear a suspicious resemblance to the terrors who drive the Buckett parents up the family room wall.

We hope the harried young parents among our readers will get a special gleam of recognition from the daily domestic doings at the Buckett household.

As always, your response to our new comic is welcome. Send your comments to: Michael Davis, Assistant Managing Editor for Features & Sports, The Evening Sun, 501 N. Calvert St., Baltimore, 21278. You may call directly at 332-6507 or FAX at 332-6666.
