Capitals preview

April 19, 1991|By Nestor Aparicio

* WHEN: Tonight, 7:35.

* WHERE: Pittsburgh Civic Arena.

* TV & RADIO: Ch. 20; WCAO-AM 600.

* OUTLOOK: The Caps seem to keep finding new heroes every night during this ambitious run at the Stanley Cup. Wednesday night, it was defenseman Al Iafrate's turn to shine with a game-winning goal with 4:29 left that lifted the team to a 4-2 win and a 1-0 series lead, quickly stripping home-ice advantage from the Penguins. The Caps, who have now won four in a row, must fight off complacency tonight, for a win here would really put the Penguins on the ropes coming back to the Cap Centre for Sunday's Game 3.
