More than 1,000 expected at OC job fair

April 19, 1991

More than a thousand summer job-seekers are expected to attend the sixth annual Ocean City summer job fair to be held in the Ocean City Convention Center.

The fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Last year, 1,400 job-seekers attended the fair, which is co-sponsored by Department of Economic and Employment Development and the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. Applicants filled more than 700 seasonal job openings.

About 75 employers will be represented at this year's job fair. They will be searching for workers for Ocean City's tourism and hospitality industries. Some of the openings are for cashiers, cooks, dishwashers, waiters/waitresses, housekeepers, retail salespersons, stock persons, security guards, lifeguards, desk clerks and maintenance personnel.
