April 18, 1991

Towson State (18-17-1, 10-4) used two four-run innings to sweep past visiting University of Maryland Baltimore County (18-16, 4-8) in an East Coast Conference doubleheader yesterday, 5-1 and 7-6.

The big blows were Jay Logwood's two-run triple and Bruce Rupp's two-run homer in support of Jay Baker's three-hit pitching in the first game, and Erik Sheetz's game-winning, three-run homer in the last inning of the nightcap.
